Hopkins Co. Chamber President Looking Forward to Sat. Concert on the Square

Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce CEO Bill Elliott is looking forward to Saturday night’s 16th annual Independence Day Concert on the Square. He says there should be more patriotic tunes this year. As the Northeast Texas Symphony begins to play Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever, Elliott says that’s when the fireworks show begins. He says there will also be another flyover during the national anthem and the annual veterans processional. Elliott says some people come for many miles to attend the annual event. Several thousand people are expected to gather on the square.
