Power Outage in Some Parts of Sulphur Springs Monday Morning

A large portion of the north part of Sulphur Springs lost power for some time Monday morning after a vehicle snagged a power pole and pulled at least three power poles to the ground. The mishap occurred just before 8am near Jeld-Wen, the door manufacturing company on the loop in Sulphur Springs. The city library lost power and Hopkins County Memorial Hospital went to emergency power generators. TXU usually sends vehicles out about that time on Monday job assignments and they were able to divert some of them to fix the problem.
