A search after a traffic stop along I-30 early Monday morning by Cumby Police Sgt. Charlie Walker resulted in discovery of $223,000 in cash and seizure of 12.7 pounds of cocaine. A man and two women from Michigan were arrested. Sgt. Walker said he stopped a 2007 Cadillac for speeding at around 3:45 Monday morning. Walker said he became suspicious of the driver. After being given consent to search the vehicle, Sgt. Walker found the cocaine and the large amount of cash. Walker said he would attempt to seize the vehicle as well as the cash.
